In September 2016, the Board of Directors of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), meeting in Vancouver, established that Turin was organizing, for the summer of 2019, the sixth edition of the European Masters Games (EMG2019).
To better meet the needs that this commitment requires, the City has set up the Organizing Committee of the European Masters Games – Turin 2019, ratified this afternoon with a resolution approved by the City Council with 22 votes in favor and one abstention.
The resolution also contains the Articles of Association and the Statute of the Organizing Committee of which they are part, as founding members, City of Turin and Metropolitan City of Turin, while they may acquire the status of supporting members, natural persons, legal entities and public and private organizations wishing to contribute to the pursuit of the objectives of the Committee.
The Organizing Committee of the EMG2019 is entrusted with the initiatives necessary for the preparation and implementation of the event and its promotion through the organization and participation in events in Italy and abroad.
Finally, the Organizing Committee of the EMG2019 may stipulate agreements with municipalities, sports federations or sports clubs to carry out activities aimed at organizing the Event.
